A TRIAC, short for triode for alternating current, is a three-terminal three-phase power control device that is widely used in power electronic applications. As a member of the thyristor family, TRIACs are turn-off devices typically used in switching applications in AC circuits. The formal name for TRIACs is Bidirectional Triode Thyristors. The Q6010LH5 is a member of Infineon’s MIST series of TRIACs and operates from 600V to 1000V.
