RS1BLHMQG diodes are a type of single rectifier, which are used to convert alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC). This type of diode is one of the most commonly used forms of rectification, offering an efficient, low-cost means of transforming AC power into DC power. When a diode is forward-biased, as shown in Figure 1, current is allowed to flow in one direction only. The power applied to the anode will cause a small voltage drop across the diode, which is known as the internal voltage drop. This voltage drop is necessary to enable the diode to conduct current. In this way, the RS1BLHMQG diode acts as a one-way valve, allowing a DC current to flow.
