The SI3480-A01-GM is a high performance modern controller, providing a variety of features for different applications.To begin with, the SI3480-A01-GM employs a patented Power Path topology that allows for flexible routing of power from one device to another. This topology allows multiple power paths from the Power Supply to the load device, thus enabling robust system level power management. This topology also provides efficient load sharing between the PoE system ports, reducing power dissipation and improving performance.The SI3480-A01-GM also has an in-band communications capability for reliable system control. This is achieved through a 11-bit I2C-compatible interface with an additional four pins for general purpose digital I/O.
