Evaluation Boards - LED drivers have been well received in recent years owing to the ease of their use, flexibility and wide-range of applications. STEVAL-LLL003V1 applications field and working principle is an excellent example. The rectifier receives the AC/DC power and converts it into a DC power in order to drive the LED. The voltage regulator then takes the input voltage, stabilizes it, and then passes it onto the LED. The switching circuit is what regulates the output current into the LED in order to match the changing environmental conditions. The STEVAL-LLL003V1 LED driver has the capability to power LED matrices with constant current.
