Evaluation Boards - Sensors

The STEVAL-MKI043V1 evaluation board is a versatile device that can be used in various applications and for many different projects. The board is equipped with a range of components which allow for the evaluation and testing of numerous sensors and their associated functionalities. The board incorporates a range of sensors which can be used for many different sensing applications such as temperature, pressure, humidity, magnetic field, altitude and more.

The STEVAL-MKI043V1 evaluation board is equipped with an LPS25HB Pressure and Temperature Sensor. The pressure and temperature sensor works by measuring the atmospheric pressure and ambient temperature. It is capable of measuring both the absolute pressure and the differential pressure. The pressure range for the LPS25HB pressure and temperature sensor is from 250mbar to 1250mbar and the temperature range is from -40°C to 85°C.

The STEVAL-MKI043V1 also contains an HTS221 relative humidity and temperature sensor. This sensor is capable of measuring relative humidity levels from 0-100% and temperature from -40°C to +85°C. The HTS 221 also has a relative accuracy of 3% for humidity and 0.3°C for temperature.

The STEVAL-MKI043V1 evaluation board also includes a LSM303AGR three-axis accelerometer and three-axis magnetometer. The LSM303AGR is capable of measuring acceleration range from ±2g to ±16g and magnetic field strength from ±8gauss to ±12gauss. It has an extremely low power consumption of up to 50% compared to other accelerometers and is capable of measuring up to 16g without saturating.

The STEVAL-MKI043V1 also incorporates a LIS2MDL three-axis digital magnetometer. With a range of ±45 gauss, the LIS2MDL is an ideal sensor for applications such as tilt sensing, motor control, and position and heading sensing. The LIS2MDL also has an extremely low power consumption of up to 20 μA.

The STEVAL-MKI043V1 also includes an LSM6DSL three-axis digital accelerometer and three-axis digital gyroscope. This sensor can measure acceleration from ±2g to ±16g as well as angular rates up to ±2000°/s. The LSM6DSL also features a multi-axis MEMs design, allowing users to monitor up to 16 different axes.

Finally, the STEVAL-MKI043V1 evaluation board incorporates a MS8607-03BA Pressure Sensor. This sensor can measure barometric pressure from 300mbar to 1100 mbar and temperature from -40°C to +85°C. It has an excellent low power consumption of 4μA and can measure barometric pressure at an accuracy of ±1%.

These components allow the STEVAL-MKI043V1 evaluation board to be used for a wide range of sensing applications.
