The STEVAL-VNH5019A is a multi-functional and high performance integrated motor driver. This motor driver is aimed to drive brushed DC motors in a wide range of applications such as robotic applications, portable equipments, home appliances and automotive. It operates from a single power supply and provides an output current up to 5A. It can control the speed, direction of rotation and rectify the input current waveform of a brushed DC motor. This product is an Evaluation and Demonstration Board and Kit from STMicroelectronics.
The STEVAL-VNH5019A Evaluation and Demonstration Board and Kit has a range of driver functionalities, such as peak current, mode control, current sensing feedback and PWM motor enable signal. It supports three operating modes, namely current limiting, over current protection and continuous conduction drive modes. This Evaluation and Demonstration Board and Kit can also provide a speed control and dynamic braking using the internal PWM generator and the External PWM generator feature. The STEVAL-VNH5019A Evaluation and Demonstration Board and Kit works on a wide range of power supply voltages, such as between 9 V and 36 V.
