(TC1411VOA713 is a power management integrated circuit (PMIC) which is specially designed to drive the most common power semiconductor devices. This PMIC is included in the family of gate drivers that are now replacing the traditional and low-performance system MOSFETs and IGBTs in power systems. These gate driver ICs offer various advantages such as greater efficiency, lower temperatures, and higher power density. They also help to reduce energy loss by cutting off gates when the load is not in operation.TC1411VOA713 is a high accuracy and low-cost gate driver IC that is designed to drive high frequency, large size MOSFETs and IGBTs. This PMIC features a high-side output which is a complimentary to the low-side driver, enabling it to provide a full-wave drive for synchronous rectification switching. It is also equipped with an enable input to allow for a simple ON/OFF control for the whole device. In addition, this gate driver IC is designed to provide a high frequency PWM controlled gate driver signal with adjustable frequency ranging from 10kHz to 70kHz. With a switching mode of up to 3.6A and its ability to handle up to 20V, this gate driver IC is suitable to be used in high power applications like switched mode power supplies, motor control and lighting applications.The main features of the TC1411VOA713 PMIC include its low turn-on and turn-off delays, fast switching times, modified rise and fall time, improved jitter performance, increased duty cycle accuracy and its ability to drive high power loads.The working principle of the TC1411VOA713 PMIC is based on the use of an oscillator and an amplifier in combination with a voltage divider feedback network to detect a voltage and current which can be used for the gate driver signal generation. The rising and falling edges of the gate driver signals are generated after the oscillator generates the clock signal that is used to control the two switches connected to the gate driver. The gate driver output is then used to control the power semiconductor device. The PMIC is also equipped with two independent protection circuits. One is designed to limit the IC overtemperature and the other limits the gate overvoltage levels. The IC also provides an open-drain output to allow for the direct driving of logic circuits, giving the system designer an easy and convenient way to control the IC.Overall, the TC1411VOA713 PMIC is an ideal choice for a wide range of power applications. This PMIC provides an improved performance and greater energy savings while reducing system costs.
