TLZ13-GS18 is a single Zener diode, in which the anode is connected to a high-voltage source, and the cathode is connected to the power supply. It is used to protect circuits and other components from overvoltage. It has numerous applications and mostly used in telecom, power supply, LED lighting, industrial, and automotive fields.The TLZ13-GS18 is a PN junction diode and has two terminals, anode and cathode. It is a two-terminal diode, so it has two junction potentials which consist, the forward biased potential and the reverse-biased potential. The forward-biased potential develops when the anode is connected to the positive terminal, and the cathode is connected to the negative terminal.When the voltage reaches a certain threshold or cut-in voltage, the reverse bias voltage begins to build. In Zener diodes, the reverse biased potential is much higher than the forward biased potential. This Diode also has an avalanche breakdown potential, which is also greater than the forward biased potential.TLZ13-GS18 is a dual-mode device with a high breakdown voltage and a low static reverse leakage current. It is ideal for numerous applications such as voltage regulator, voltage limiter, surge suppression and current sourcing.The TLZ13-GS18 has a wide range of applications, the most common applications include:1. Voltage regulator and stabilizer: The TLZ13-GS18 is used in power supplies circuits to regulate the output voltage and ensure that it remains at a constant level. It prevents overvoltage, under voltage and voltage surges from occurring and damaging the components. 2.
