The TSM973CSA+ is a linear-comparator specifically designed to detect temperature and moisture conditions. It is capable of a wide range of applications, from water and oil leak detection to air and gas monitoring. This instrument offers a high level of sensitivity and accuracy as well as a wide range of temperature/moisture readings.The TSM973CSA+ has a variety of functions and can be connected to external sensors. It is widely applicable across various measurement and detection scenarios such as gas and water leak detection, surveillance, security systems, environment monitoring, and energy management.The TSM973CSA+ has two main working principles that help it detect temperature and moisture levels accurately. The first is thermoelectricity, which is a conversion between thermal and electrical energy wherein a change in temperature produces a change in the electrical potential. The thermoelectric effect is used to measure temperature via the variation in electrical potential. The second principle is chemisorption, which is a process that involves the collecting of molecules from the atmosphere through adsorption. The collected molecules are then identified and measured by the TSM973CSA+.The thermoelectric elements of the TSM973CSA+ are constructed of two semiconductors with different atomic structures. When a voltage is applied across the two semiconductors, a temperature difference is created between the two elements. This temperature difference generates a voltage that is proportional to the temperature difference. The collected voltage is then compared to a predefined threshold voltage via a comparator to determine the temperature level.The chemisorption properties of the TSM973CSA+ are also utilized to measure moisture levels. A special filter that collects molecules using chemisorption is attached to the TSM973CSA+. The molecules collected through chemisorption are then compared to a predefined moisture threshold via a comparator. If the supplied molecules are above the predefined threshold, then an electrical signal is triggered and a detected state is indicated.The overall process of temperature and moisture detection with the TSM973CSA+ is simple, accurate, and repeatable. Its thermoelectric and chemisorption working principles offer superior performance, high sensitivity, and a wide range of applicable scenarios. The instrument also supports connection to a variety of external sensors for even better monitoring and data output.
