TZX10C-TAP

A Zener diode is a type of diode that is specially designed to allow electric current to pass in the opposite direction - or reverse bias, as it is known. The TZX10C-TAP is designed to use the electrical principles of the Zener diode and employ them in a number of applications.

In terms of its working principle, the TZX10C-TAP is designed to monitor voltage transients lasting from one to thousand milliseconds. Once a transient is detected, the TZX10C-TAP will clamp the voltage and limit the current, thereby protecting against circuit damage. This allows it to be used to withstand voltage events of up to 200V, with a peak pulse current of up to 10A.

The TZX10C-TAP is predominately used in IT and telecommunications devices, where it is useful for protecting telecom lines, short-circuit protection, and other industry applications. In addition, these modules can be used in electrical power systems, LED displays and industrial automation.
