The TZX15C TAP is an integrated circuit developed by Tel Aviv-based semiconductor foundry Goldstar Semiconductor. It is a single-pole break-on-the-line (BOL-T) Zener diode, and is the most recently released Zener diode available. It is specifically designed to handle applications in which line voltage levels in a variety of electronic components or circuits must be managed and controlled precisely, in order to avoid line-voltage fluctuations which can cause malfunctions, shorts, and other electrical issues.At the heart of the TZX15C-TAP is a dedicated Zener diode with a special break-on-the-line (BOL-T) configuration. The Zener diode allows the user to adjust the voltage of a given line or circuit to a precisely desired level. This is a significant improvement over standard Zener diodes, which only offer fixed-voltage regulation. The TZX15C-TAP is the first of its kind to offer the adjustable voltage levels desired by engineers and technicians. The BOL-T configuration allows for adjustable voltage levels within an eight-volt range by providing a jumper connection between the external circuit line and the Zener diode. The external circuit line can thus be connected to the Zener diode at any of the seven possible levels within this range, from 0 volts to 8 volts.The TZX15C-TAP also features an onboard voltage regulator, which is designed to protect the circuit from damage caused by excessive voltage or current fluctuations. The voltage regulator is designed to automatically adjust the voltage level over the 0-8V range as the external line voltage changes, always keeping it within the safe limits.The recommended working temperature range for the TZX15C-TAP is between -40 and +85 degrees Celsius.
