Application Field of UCC27200DRMT
The UCC27200DRMT was designed for low-side and high-side drivers for motor control, field-oriented control (FOC) applications. It can drive gated power switches such as MOSFETs and IGBTs with a wide variety of gate drive currents up to 8 A peak pulse current. The UCC27200DRMT accepts input logic which is compatible with low-voltage ICs and supplies logic level output gate drive for MOSFET or IGBT devices.The internal gate-drive UVLO (Under Voltage Lock Out) feature provides a convenient way to protect system power switches against loss of gate drive in case of an under voltage condition. Other features are integrated isolated supply, Over Temperature Alert output and open collector drive signal with high voltage output impedance.
Working Principle of UCC27200DRMT
The basic principle of the UCC27200DRMT is to serve as an interface between the logic device and the power switch. When a logic signal is applied to the input, the outputs of the UCC27200DMRT will switch, providing the required gate drive for the power switch. The input and output signals must be compatible with the voltage levels of the circuitry. The output gate drive feature of the UCC27200DRMT is capable of driving both high side and low side MOSFETs or IGBTs.
