The VF20120C-E3/4W is a rectifying arary that has been designed to provide the very best in rectifying applications. This array is ideal for providing a high-efficiency, low-cost option for applications such as power supply rectification, low-frequency switching circuits, power drivers, and power conversion. This rectifying array is particularly useful when used with alternating current (AC) sources, as it is able to both regulate and reduce the voltage of that source in a highly efficient manner.
The VF20120C-E3/4W consists of four 20 A darlington-based MOSFET power transistors with voltage clamping protection diodes, two 2 A schottky diodes, two reverse-protecting diodes, and two 2 A MOSFETs prebiased in opposite directions to each other. This combination makes for a highly effective rectifying array for use with both AC and DC power sources.
When using the VF20120C-E3/4W for AC power sources, it is able to regulate and reduce the voltage of that source in a highly efficient way. This is done by using the two MOSFETs which are pre-biased in opposite directions and the two 2A schottky diodes. The MOSFETs act as a rectification bridge, while the schottky diodes help to regulate the voltage by providing a steady current output, irrespective of the input voltage. The two reverse-protecting diodes also protect the circuit from short-circuiting.
