The X40421V14I-CT1 is a PMIC (Power Management IC) Supervisors. It is a single, low-power, integrated solution to various low voltage power monitoring and supervisory requirements. This device is designed to accurately monitor multiple supply voltages, provide reset control and open drain interrupt outputs, as well as power on reset (POR) control and manual reset input. The X40421V14I-CT1 combines advanced circuitry and technology to facilitate low voltage power management and provide cost savings in comparison to discrete solutions.

A reset signal is not activated on the interrupt output pin, and must be counted manually. The open drain interrupt output pin, INT, is ideal for integrating system power management alerts or similar error events.

The working principle behind X40421V14I-CT1 is simple. The device is powered by a low voltage power supply, and it monitors the voltage at its Vss pin.
