The circuit integrates the main switches, mid-point switches, and resonance capacitors in the circuit to allow efficient switching and control.

In the CCM mode, the main and mid-point switches are alternately turned on and off to oscillate the resonant voltage. The power delivered to the output is monitored in this mode and the duty ratio is adjusted correspondingly. In the DCM and DCCM modes, the duty ratio is adjusted through the mid-point switch control, while in the TMO mode, the operation of the mid-point switch is disabled and the duty ratio is adjusted through the operation of the main switch.

The X40435S14-A adopts the fast voltage mode control to provide low input and output transient noise. It also integrates two-only mode clock and fixed frequency mode clock to optimize the power conversion performance. The constant on-time control adopted by the IC allows high efficiency and quick transient response, while the built-in over-voltage protection capability ensures output voltage safety.
