Thyristors - SCRs
A silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR) is an electrical device made of highly doped semiconductor material that can be turned on or off with a low voltage electrical control signal. The 25TTS08S is a low gate-trigger current SCR rated for up to 800 volts and up to 8 amperes of load current. Working Principle
When a control voltage is applied to the gate lead of an SCR, the SCR will turn on, allowing current to flow through the device.
