Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) is a digital signal processing technique for generating high-resolution frequency signals using relatively low-resolution digital-to-analog converter (DAC) technology. DDS solutions have been used in various applications such as communications, medical imaging, test and measurement, and military and industrial applications.
