The ADIS16209/PCBZ Evaluation Board is a precision rotational sensing device designed to enable researchers to evaluate the performance of inertial measurement unit (IMU) technologies for use in navigation, attitude determination and orientation control. The board works by measuring three-axes of rotational motion and providing accurate and repeatable results in a wide range of applications. ADIS16209/PCBZ is based on a piezoelectric gyroscope (PZG), a MEMS inertial sensing device that measures angular velocity for each axis, across three axes. The gyroscopic inertial sensor has selectable measurement ranges up to 500 degrees per second and allows for the output of small bursts of data in response to each axis rotation.
