AOL1458 is a Single-Chip Driver IC, it is a kind of transistor in the total family of FETs, MOSFETs and FETs is quite similar to MOSFET, which is mainly used in the field of controlling. Hence, the AOL1458 is a kind of MOSFETs and it has the features of operating cost, low power consumption and smaller size.
The application of AOL1458 is mainly in four areas, like motor drivers, current/voltage/pressure sensor, DC motor and color blender motor drivers. In these four areas, it can be used as a driver, controlling out current or voltage signal. For example, in the area of motor drivers, it can be used to drive DC motor and color blender motor, among these it is commonly used as color blender driver to control the output. Furthermore, it can be used for controlling current/voltage/pressure sensor and output the required analog signal.
The working principle of AOL1458 is straightly related to its application, the main performance of AOL1458 is its ability to transfer the low-voltage signal to the powerful current output. In the normal situation, when the input signal from the logic gate is one, AOL1458 will respond to outpout high voltage, otherwise, the output voltage is low. Apart from that, it will transfers the powerful voltage through two output power ends, in which each can provide 3.2A to 5.6A currents, it will pass the signal to actuator, then control the exact working of the motor or other device.
AOL1458 is an important breakthrough in the transistor controlling, the low-cost design of it and its moderate power consumption, the advantages of which cannot be replaced by traditional technologies. All these characteristics offer great convenience in the designing and controlling of the motor or some equipment, which can avoid the waste of electric power and guarantee the stable working of the product.
