Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits are designed to demonstrate the capabilities of a product and evaluate its suitability for a given application. The DC2531A-KIT is a prime example of such an evaluation and demonstration board. It is designed to demonstrate the capabilities of an AC/DC boost converter.
The DC2531A-KIT board is based on the qualified, Xilinx Kintex UltraScale FPGA, which is optimized for efficient power delivery. This FPGA provides the necessary power to drive the high speed, energy-efficient switching of the controller. The IC on the board is a step down synchronous boost controller that provides a very efficient power conversion solution. The board features a wide input voltage range of 4-28V and is capable of driving up to 100W of output power at up to 1.8MHz switching frequency. The DC2531A-KIT board includes several features for evaluation of the converter operation and its regulation performance.
