DC2583A

The DC2583A is a member of the Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits. The DC2583A is used to develop applications that features the Triple-Channel Baseline Track™ 2.0 Mode, a voltage tracking system used to maintain a predetermined voltage on any of three independent channels, each channel capable of regulating up to 30 volts. It is a useful tool in many design projects related to consumer, industrial and medical applications.

The DC2583A’s working principle is fairly straightforward. Upon application of an input voltage to the DC2583A, it utilizes its three individual channels to compare the incoming voltage to the pre-set voltage. It dynamically adjusts the output voltage on each of the three channels in order to achieve the optimal voltage within the predetermined window. An integrated feed forward path allows for fast transient response while maintaining excellent stability. The entire process operates in real time and no external components are necessary.

The DC2583A is designed to operate as a versatile two or three channel voltage tracking system. In two-channel mode, the unit measures and regulates the voltage on two channels. In three-channel mode, the DC2583A offers one more voltage tracking channel for more complex tracking applications.

The DC2583A also includes an integrated voltage lockout (VLO) feature that allows users to set a minimum and maximum voltage level, preventing unintentional outputs.
