DS275+ Application Field and Working Principle

The DS275+ is a versatile interface receiver, transceiver, and driver ideal for industry communications applications. It includes both an onboard receiver with HX speed reduction and full-duplex transmission modes, as well as an on-board transceiver for improved bandwidth and data throughput. The device is a complete solution for forwarding data through two-wire backplanes or multiple serial ports. The DesignWare® DS275+ interface receiver, transceiver, and driver is also capable of transmitting in parallel and also supports both RS-232 and SCI protocols. In addition, the device offers increased system security through the use of message authentication codes and a robust EMI/RFI compliant design.

The receiver in the DS275+ is designed to receive data from the transmitter and XOff/XOn handshaking signals. This allows the device to switch between full duplex and half-duplex transmission mode. The transmitter and transceiver functions in the DS275+ are designed to support asynchronous and clocked synchronous communication. Additionally, the device supports half and full duplex transmission over one and two-wire backplanes.
