The FAN7930M is an integrated power factor correction (PFC) power management integrated circuit (PMIC) used to regulate switched-mode power supplies which require stable and reliable power. This IC allows designers to achieve ultimate power factor performance while maintaining stringent safety and operational standards. The FAN7930M includes an integrated pulse-width modulation (PWM) controller and a high-side, low-side, and ground shorts protection features to protect against current overloads and overvoltage. The FAN7930M also offers a symmetrical cut-off fuction to increase power factor to 0.999.

This PWM can be used as a limiter for overvoltage and as a fast negative voltage protection.
