FDS9933A is an array of field-effect transistors (FETs) normally classified as metal-oxide-semiconductor field effect transistors (MOSFETs). It is a highly integrated MOSFET device and was developed to provide high integration, improved performance and convenience in applications such as portable electronic devices, consumer applications and automotive electronics. FDS9933A features eight power FETs packaged in a 55 mm x 57mm thermally enhanced SO-8 package. Each device has an independent or parallel gate to allow for a broad range of applications.

FDS9933A is suitable for use as an array of low side and/or high side switch, such as a DC-DC converter, a switched-mode power supply, an actuator, a motor controller, and so on. In the DC-DC converter, this device is suitable for providing continuous or pulsing power, such as those used in buck, boost and buck-boost converters. The device also offers a wide range of protections and diagnostics capabilities.

The operation of the FDS9933A is based on the principle of voltage-controlled current conduction. When a positive voltage is applied to the gate, a channel is formed between the source and the drain. This channel allows current to flow between the source and drain, with the amount of current controlled by the magnitude of the gate voltage. The device also has a threshold voltage Vth, which defines the minimum voltage level required to initiate conduction.

The FDS9933A is constructed with an array of eight power FETs in a 55 mm x 57 mm package.
