HIP6311CBZA is a versatile DC/DC controller designed to drive Buck and Buck-Boost switching regulators from a single 2.7V supply. It uses minimum external components and offers maximum flexibility to enable easy implementation of synchronous buck or buck-boost regulators for a large number of applications. The application of HIP6311CBZA includes industrial, automotive, communications, consumer, and computing applications.The HIP6311CBZA is a high-performance DC/DC switching controller for driving synchronous buck or buck-boost regulators. It has an on-chip 2.7V internal voltage reference, wide input voltage range from 2.7V to 20V, and efficient low-side gate drive (H-bridge) with up to 10A current. The on-chip thermal protection is provided by a precise temperature monitor with hysteresis and a separate thermal shutdown output.The working principle of HIP6311CBZA involves the accurate operation of the low-side switching element, operating at a frequency which can be set by an external resistor. This signal is further used to control the operation of the high-side switching element. When using the HIP6311CBZA as a buck regulator, the output voltage is regulated by the internal error amplifier.
