HMC7911LP5E is a high performance IQ modulator designed for use in a variety of wireless communications systems. It is a direct conversion type of modulator that performs the dual operations of up conversion of the baseband IQ signals to the desired RF frequency range and modulation of the RF signal. With its low power consumption and high linearity, the HMC7911LP5E is ideal for applications such as GPS, WIFI, WiMAX and Wimax-X.The HMC7911LP5E features an integrated Modulator & Demodulator block with wideband I and Q inputs. The modulator & demodulator block converts up to 5Vpp digital baseband inputs into a single-ended 0dBm analog RF signal and performs all necessary modulation & demodulation processes. The signal is then amplified and filtered for transmission. The HMC7911LP5E is capable of generating a clean, stable RF signal with excellent phase noise and frequency accuracy.The HMC7911LP5E is ideally suited for applications requiring high linearity and low power consumption. It features a high linearity modulator (with harmonic distortion of -45dBc @ -10dBm output power) and a low power consumption of 13mA (@ 5V supply). It is also capable of providing 500mVpp output power with a noise level below -110dBc/Hz. The HMC7911LP5E comes in a compact 5x5mm package and is RoHS compliant.In terms of applications, the HMC7911LP5E can be used in a wide variety of wireless communication systems such as GPS, WIFI, WiMAX and Wimax-X. Its high linearity allows for clean, low distortion signals. Additionally, the low power consumption and compact size make it suitable for applications that require small form factor and low power consumption.In summary, the HMC7911LP5E is an integrated IQ modulator designed for use in a variety of wireless communications systems.
