IL4108-X016 is a type of optoisolators that uses triac, SCR, and output in its operations. As the name suggests, optoisolators refer to a method of isolating signals between two disjoint circuits using an optical link as a medium for signal transfer. This allows for the different devices to be safely and reliably connected with each other without the need of complex wiring and signal degradation.

The IL4108-X016 utilizes a coupler to couple light signals between its inputs and output.
