IRDCIP1001-A is an evaluation board of DC/DC and AC/DC (off-line) SMPS. It enables users to accurately assess the performance of high-performance switching power converter designs. For SMPS designed with Infineon’s high reliability, low-power, high-efficiency (IRFDC) chips, the IRDCIP1001-A provides a fully documented, robust platform to create innovative products with minimized time-to-market constraints.
IRDCIP1001-A offers an IP (intellectual property) core specifically designed for 10A application field. This core is designed to accurately assess the performance of Infineon’s IRFDC power management ICs, reduce design complexity, and simplify requirements in terms of operating conditions. The core can be used in various modes, including step-down ratios (adjustable holds) and fixed-frequency switching operations with various duty cycles.
The IRDCIP1001-A evaluation board also features a number of user-friendly features. A user-friendly graphical user interface allows users to control parameters, such as output voltages, switching frequency, load current, etc., for easy testing. The board also includes a built-in power measurement facility to measure consumption and efficiency. Moreover, the IRDCIP1001-A offers a wide input voltage range of 6V to 36V and is compliant with the EN55022 Class B immunity standards.
The board is based on a fixed-frequency, current-mode topology. This topology provides excellent line/load regulation accuracy with a very high switching frequency of up to 400kHz.
