。TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) diodes protect sensitive electronics from destructive voltage waveforms and high-power electrical surges. They are often found on circuit boards, telephone and other communication lines, and major power supply lines. The LCE11A-E3/73 is a TVS diode specifically designed for RF and microwave applications. It is capable of providing a low-capacitance protection device with excellent suppression performance.
Application Field
Low capacitance TVS diodes such as the LCE11A-E3/73 are typically used in the protection of RF and microwave circuits, such as antennas, transmitter and receiver stages, and amplifier circuits. They perform their function in a variety of ways, such as providing a high-performance ESD (electrostatic discharge) and lightning protection for RF or microwave components, suppressing the EFT (electrical fast transient) or ESD burst energy, and protecting receivers from excessive signal levels.
Working Principle
TVS diodes work by quickly clamping down the voltage waveform at a predetermined level, and this is what gives them their superior protection against nearby lightning strikes. When a lightning strike is detected, the TVS diode switches on within microseconds and absorbs the electrical surge before it can impact other devices on the circuit board.
The LCE11A-E3/73 TVS diode is a low-capacitance transient voltage suppressor with a 2-lead package. The package features an integrated clamping voltage of 18V, a maximum clamp current of 9A (Ipp) and a maximum peak pulse current of 5KA (Izsm). The forward voltage (VF) of the LCE11A-E3/73 is only 0.81V, making it ideal for RF and microwave applications.
The LCE11A-E3/73 is excellent at suppressing ESD and lightning events by providing a low capacitance, high-speed transient protection. It can also be used in receiver protection applications, providing stand-off voltages of up to 15V, and its low forward voltage gives it a very wide dynamic operating range. The LCE11A-E3/73 is also an excellent option for mobile phone signal line protection, as well as other radio frequency signal ports.
The LCE11A-E3/73 TVS diode is an excellent choice for both RF and microwave circuit protection. It is capable of providing superior protection against lightning strikes, as well as ESD, EFT and other high-voltage/high-current surges. Its low capacitance, forward voltage and fast response time make it ideal for a wide range of mobile phone, radio frequency and other electronic applications.
