Working Principle
The LM5020SD-2/NOPB IC is designed to provide a simple solution for controlling the power delivery from a high voltage, high power DC/DC converter and is commonly used in automotive and battery management systems. The LM5020SD-2/NOPB is made up of two main components: an adaptive gate bias supply and an integrated low RDS(ON) high side p-channel MOSFET. The adaptive gate bias supply generates an adjustable gate bias voltage in response to the output voltage of the DC/DC converter. This voltage is then used to control the current flow through the integrated MOSFET.
