The LM5025BSD/NOPB is a high-frequency, synchronous, buck-boost, DC-DC switching controller. The device allows positive and negative output voltages from an input voltage that is higher than, equal to, or lower than the output voltage. The LM5025 is capable of regulating voltages as low as 0.5 V，and has been specifically designed for applications where very low dropout of the output voltage is required.

The primary function of the LM5025 is to control a power N-channel MOSFET. A slow start up circuit shuts off the MOSFET at the beginning of each cycle, allowing the voltage of the output to reach its programmed level, and then turns it on while maintaining the constant voltage level.
