Working Principle
The LM5027MH-EVAL/NOPB is an evaluation board that is used for evaluating the features and performance of the LM5027 synchronous buck controller. This includes input voltage range from 4.5V to 32V and 6A synchronous buck converter. Apart from this, the evaluation board also provides features for soft start, fault,current limit protection, adaptive dead time control, as well as frequency synchronization. It also features current mode operation with frequency foldback.
The board consists of capacitors, resistors,a five digit display, a LM5027MH voltage feedback regulator, as well as a LM5027MH synchronous buck converter.The board also features a voltage trimming circuit, status LEDs, an external circuit, and a logic level converter. The five digit display indicated the value of the voltage, current, and frequency. The logic level converter helps in communication with the host controller for voltage and frequency control.
When the external circuit is connected to the board, users can now evaluate the performance of the transformer design through real-world tests.
