The LM5165EVM-HD-P50A is an evaluation board developed and designed to evaluate the performance of the LM5165, dual-channel 6-A, high-side, isolated switch mode power supply controller, as well as to demonstrate the capability of a cost-optimized, high-performance solution. The LM5165 EVM provides two modes of operation: Boost/Buck PFC Preregulator and PFC Postregulator. In the Boost/Buck PFC Prereg mode, the device operates as an AC/DC converter, rectifying the line voltage and providing a stabilized output voltage. In the PFC Postregulator mode, the LM5165 EVM isolates the rectified line voltage into two isolated flyback primaries and the post-regulator then stabilizes the output voltage. The primary side auxiliary winding provides power to the control circuit, which drives the FETs. The output voltage of the LM5165EVM-HD-P50A is adjustable up to 5V output.
