Working Principle of LM9071SX/NOPB

The LM9071SX/NOPB has two operating modes: linear mode and pulse-width modulated (PWM) mode. In linear mode, the regulator uses a linear amplifier to control the output voltage, while in PWM mode, the regulator uses pulse width modulation to maintain output voltage stability. The LM9071SX/NOPB uses a current-mode feedback and an active-low enable (AEN) pin to maintain stability and protect the device from excessive current loading. The AEN pin prevents the output voltage from exceeding the set value when the load is above the rated operating current.

The LM9071SX/NOPB has a fixed output voltage that is adjustable from 1.5V to 3.3V and is adjustable by trimming voltage with an external resistive voltage divider.
