Contrastingly, when an adequate amount of voltage is available, the IC switches to the linear mode. This mode reduces voltage and current fluctuations, thus providing a stable output current. The LX2208ILD-TR is also equipped with a soft-start feature, preventing current inrush from increasing the battery\'s internal resistance.

The LX2208ILD-TR possess a wealth of safety features, lsuch as overtemperature protection and undervoltage lockout. As such, this IC is compliant with the European Union\'s Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive, adding yet another layer of safety and efficiency.
