The MAX3379EEUD+ logic translator or level shifter provides a simple solution for transferring between low-voltage signal levels and higher-voltage transmission lines. For example, a low-voltage signal such as one found on an I2C bus (3V3) may need to be translated to a higher voltage such as one found on a UART bus (5V or higher).
