Working Principle

The MAX6313UK27D4-T requires a single external timing capacitor, along with an external reset capacitor. This allows user set the reset pulse duration, with reset pulse output enabled after the voltage levels on the VDD•, VDD1 and VDD2 input pins are above the internally set threshold values. Manual reset circuit is initiated by an independent input pin (MR) for systems requiring manual reset. The RESET output of the device acts as a signal to the system that the voltage at the VDD•, VDD1 and VDD2 pins have dropped below the reset threshold. As soon as the voltage at VDD•, VDD1 and VDD2 rises above the reset threshold levels the device starts recharging the external reset and timer capacitor at a current of 20nA and reduces this current to 200pA after the reset signal is generated again. The reset pulse width is approximately 2ms, with a reset signal active for less than 0.8ms. Additional features of the device include push button reset, manual reset and override reset.
