It is suitable for automotive applications such as automotive lights, car audio systems and other related applications. The diode array module ensures stable and reliable operation over a wide ambient temperature range (-55°C to +125°C).
The MBR6050PT C0G is also suitable for use in high-efficiency DC-DC converter applications including switchmode power converters, DC-DC buck converters, and linear voltage regulator applications. Working Principle
The diode array module is a current-regulation device that maintains a constant voltage supplied to a load. It is a 4-channel diode rectifier array with low on-state voltage drops. The module consists of four diodes, connecting one each in parallel as a single package.
When the input voltage is higher than the output voltage, the diodes act as forward-biased rectifiers, allowing the current to flow from the higher voltage supply to the lower voltage load, while the reverse-biased diodes act as open switches, blocking the current in the opposite direction. Thus, the rectifier module ensures a regulated output voltage with a constant current load.
In case of a short circuit, the current-limiting feature of the diode array module helps minimize the risk of damage to the connected circuit and other components. The MBR6050PT C0G also includes a thermal overload protection feature that shuts off the load current if the load exceeds a predefined temperature.
