Working PrincipleThe MPS2907ARLREG works on the principle of Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT) Biasing. It consists of three layers of semiconductors, one N-type and two P-type. When bias voltage is applied, the electrons from the N-type layer move towards the P-type layer and start to accumulate near the junction of the two P-type layers. As the electrons accumulate near the junction, a negative voltage is generated which in turn attracts the holes from the P-type layers and the electrons from the N-type layer start to move towards the junction. This process creates a potential difference between the two P-type layers and an electric field is formed across the junction. This electric field controls the current flow. The current flow is controlled by the base current, which is passed through the N-type layer.
