The TE1307 is one such capacitor, a radial-leaded aluminum electrolytic capacitor that is ideal for moderate and high ripple current applications such as power supplies and automotive electronics. The TE1307 is rated for both 85°C and 105°C. It has extremely low ESR and an enlarged capacity per volume. When the voltage across the plates is applied and removed, the charge stored in the dielectric layers is discharged, resulting in the capacitor discharging in a controlled discharge.
