When the voltage between the two electrodes reaches a certain level, one part of the electrolyte will be attracted to the anode, while the other part will be attracted to the cathode, thus forming an electric double layer. The dielectric material between the two electrodes, the electrolyte, is responsible for the capacitance of the TE1411 capacitor.
