The TOP233G is a highly efficient Primary Side Regulation (PSR) integrated offline switcher with a minimum number of external components. It is suitable for low-cost, low-power off-line applications such as lighting, white goods, and low-cost adapters and power supplies.The TOP233G offers very high power density and cost savings by reducing the number of components used. It also provides excellent system efficiency through primary side regulation and no-load-detection. This reduces the total amount of power loss, resulting in improved system operation.The TOP233G uses a voltage mode control method, which is suitable for most of the off-line applications. By using the peak current mode control, the TOP233G regulates the output voltage, making it possible to provide a constant output voltage regardless of line and load variation.The TOP233G is capable of delivering up to 23-watts of output power and is intended for operation at 100 kHz to 500 kHz or higher frequencies. The synchronous rectifier can be disabled or enabled during normal operating conditions.
