Working Principle

TOP247Y integrates many functional blocks necessary for power conversion: the power input function, the integrated Power Factor Correction (PFC), and the high efficiency offline switching regulator. The input AC/DC is rectified into DC, and then rectified current is sent through PFC, filtered to obtain constant ripple low voltage. The integrated Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) controller uses constant on-time architecture to ensure the stability, reliability, and high efficiency for the system. The PWM controller drives the Power MOSFET, the gate drive and output power stage. The analog voltage reference, HV reference and drive loop controls the power conversion in the sense of VCC, primary winding and secondary winding. The output power is regulated through a voltage feed back loop, making sure the output voltage remains constant.
