It provides the highest level of efficiency, high power factor, accurate power regulation, and is designed for 3.3V to 36V outputs. This highly-integrated power management device provides a complete solution for AC/DC conversion, including primary-side regulation, source drain control, and high voltage driver stages.TOP269VG is designed for a wide range of AC/DC converters that require low power consumption, high efficiency, and high-performance regulations. The device includes a full bridge high-voltage MOSFET driver, a power factor compensation circuit (PFC), and a PFC output rectifier network. The device also provides protection against over voltage, over current, short circuit, over power, and under voltage.Working Principle: TOP269VG provides complete AC/DC conversion switch-mode power supply utilizing a primary-side control scheme. On the primary-side, the PFC controller provides a quasi-resonant current waveform to the front end, providing a power factor of 0.9 or above for various input and output voltages. The PFC output rectifier network converts the AC source to a DC bus voltage. On the secondary side, the internal high-voltage MOSFET driver switches both halves of the MOSFET bridge. The device is synchronous with the PFC output voltage and uses the peak current mode control with a constant on time, providing an output with strict accuracy and low-ripples.The energy for the switching is provided by the controller’s internal charge pump, eliminating the need for an external transformer. The PFC, high-voltage driver, and charge pump consume only 30 mW in no-load operation. TOP269VG also supports advanced protection features like input over-voltage protection (OVP), output over-voltage protection (OVP), overload protection, and over-temperature protection (OTP). It also features optional remote ON/OFF control, low-voltage shutdown (LVR), and a high-voltage mode (HVS) for hard-switched, off-line AC/DC applications. TOP269VG is compatible with a wide range of AC/DC inverter applications. It is designed to meet IEC 61000-3-2, provides RoHS compliant, and is available in a SOIC-8 package.
