UCC28250PWR application field and working principle

Working principle of UCC28250PWR

The UCC28250PWR consists of a pass element and a regulating circuit. The pass element, consisting of a power MOSFET and a matching driver, supplies the regulated output from a regulated current source that is at least partly regulated by the regulating circuit. This regulating circuit senses the output voltage by comparing the output voltage to an on-chip reference. The reference voltage of UCC28250PWR is 2.5V, while the maximum input voltage is 7V.

The output voltages of UCC28250PWR are controlled by the same amplifier-controlled reference circuit which is used to compare the output voltage.
