The PFC regulator can achieve a power factor up to 0.98 at a certain load current and a single-stage efficiency of up to 97%. The PWM generator adjusts the duty cycle such that the average current passing through the bridge rectifier is equal to the reference current, thereby regulating the AC current input.The PFC regulator also features a wide output voltage range of 12V to 300V, which is accomplished by using a feedback control loop to adjust the duty cycle to the reference voltage. The feedback control loop senses the output voltage of the bridge rectifier and adjusts the duty cycle to realize the desired output voltage.The UCC3819ADG4 PFC regulator is an ideal solution for applications requiring power factor correction and high power efficiency. It can reduce power-related losses, increase system reliability, provide wide input range, improve power conversion and provide a low start-up current and low ripple current.
