The UCC38503N is a highly integrated, current-mode controller that provides an all in one solution to an active power factor correction (PFC) application. The device includes all of the necessary drivers, protection, main and valley current sense amplifiers and slope compensation circuitry, making it an ideal choice for a variety of single-opted mains powered applications. In terms of operation, the UCC38503N employs a fixed, voltage mode control topology with a peak current-mode feedback loop.
