Working Principle

The UKW2A100MED is an axial-lead aluminum electrolytic capacitor in which the anode is composed of a rolled-up aluminum foil and the cathode is a solid manganese dioxide. The electrolyte is an aqueous solution that is soaked into the anode. An oxide film is formed on the anode in electrolyte to create a stable barrier against the electrolyte and an electric insulator. The electrolyte ions migrate through the oxide film to create a region of high electrical field. This electric field initiates a electrochemical reaction, which generates electron movement and charges the capacitor.

The UKW2A100MED is engineered to increase heat dissipation and reduce equivalent series resistance (ESR) for improved performance. It features dual insulation for better safety and improved dielectric properties. This makes it suitable for applications requiring high capacitance, low ESR, low leakage current and long working life.
