The diode’s reverse characteristics is what blocks the current returning back to the input side.The rectifier utilizes the charge stored in the diodes within the array to draw in the necessary input power and discharge the current out through the reverse characteristics. This allows the rectifier to operate at very high currents without needing an external power source.The BAS21C is equipped with two protection circuits. One is used for protection against abnormal high voltage and the other is used for over-voltage protection. This design ensures that a reverse voltage is not applied to the detection input, thus avoiding a false positive.The BAS21C offers high performance and reliable operation in a wide range of applications.
