The CDM22011-600LRFP SL is a single enhancement-mode, low-voltage, N-channel MOSFET transistor specifically designed to provide superior RDS(on) performance in space-constrained applications. CDM22011-600LRFP SL is perfectly suitable for replacing traditional CDM2T2011-600LRFP bipolar transistors. It provide high power density and low conduction loss; reduce size, weight, and improve productivity and system reliability.

Working Principle

The CDM22011-600LRFP SL transistor is a voltage-driven switching device. It can be used as an electronic switch to turn on or off an electronic component and act as a voltage controlled current source or sink. It can also be used as an amplifier by connecting a load or a signal to the drain and the source terminal. The device works by controlling the amount of current that flows between the source and the drain terminals, depending on the voltage applied to the gate terminal.The CDM22011-600LRFP SL transistor is a unipolar device because it relies on majority carriers. It consists of three semiconductor layers separated by two insulating layers. A layer of p-type semiconductor material is sandwiched between n-type semiconductor material and an n-type semiconductor layer. When the gate terminal is negatively charged, electrons are attracted towards the gate which causes the p-type material hole density to decrease. This decreases the number of majority carriers that can flow through the channel, which reduces the current flowing from the drain to the source terminal. On the other hand, when the voltage applied to the gate terminal is positive, the electron movement to the gate terminal increases which results in an increase in hole density. This increases the number of majority carriers that can flow through the channel, resulting in an increase in current from the drain to the source terminal.The CDM22011-600LRFP SL\'s conduction loss is minimized compared to traditional bipolar transistors because of its high RDS(on) which is mainly due to its low voltage threshold. In other words, it requires a lower voltage to turn ON than other MOSFETs. This results in lower power dissipation and improved efficiency.
